Here is the scoop from the Linux Server forums:

Well the problem with the maps are not the Server, Its a issue with BCV. You need to modify the maps menu/init.con to reflect BfVietnam.

Load the map up in BCV (BattleCraft Vietnam - Located on your retail CD)

Go to Tools >> Archive file editor

    Find: Mapname/menu/init.con

    Click Open

At the bottom you will see where it says

    game.setMapId "XPack2"

    Change to

    game.setMapId "BfVietnam"

Click Save then follow the directions that BCV gives you so that the map will keep the con settings and upload the fixed map to the linux server and it should work. Im not sure if maps that dont have the updated init.con will work or not. I also had to stop the server and restart it so it would change to the custom map.

    ----- UPDATE -----

Server admins can fix this and the old maps with the XPack2 insert CAN Still join (Note: We have not verified this. We will verify it today and post it.)

I hope this is fixed in the 1.1 version of BCV. I tried to find it in the INI, lst and CFG files

Don't forget to do this to your new maps fellas. They won't work on the server otherwise. I know we get a lot of info, so I thought I would bump this so you saw it.

    Thanks!
