This story says "id" is dumping the PC as their lead development platform. Not quite sure what that means. I skimmed the article it links to, and it looks like they're working on a multi-platform environment. If so, I count that as a good thing. They more they can do to maximize the number of platforms they can develop for while minimizing the work, the better. One hopes they fine-tune the controls for each system though.
