Here is a screenshot I took on Jal. At one point, I had an almost perfect line of green dots in my MiniMap. It was deffinately cool. (Look at the minimap)
The second pic is Paladin helping me earn my Veteran Sniper Badge. :-) Thanks Pal! :-)
It was definitely good fun last night. Except for the long walks to start some of these maps, the infantry only is going to be fun 🙂 If we are going to continue with IO then lets load some of the 16 player maps as well as it makes it more of a head-on engagement and elminates the ability to flank so much.
However, it is clear from the stomping we took once the server started to fill up that we need to work on our small unit/infantry tactics and movement.

The Yellow arrow pointing you out doesn't help either.... 😛
EXACTLY...
Note to self: No more armored under-roos... 🔫 I'll just have to take my chances.
In the Postal 2 game (which is totally hilarious and not in the least politically correct) when you enter any kind of convenience store they are owned by middle eastern type folks. Usually somewhere in the store there is at least one of them praying to Allah and they are shouting " LALALALALALALALALALALALALALA". That is what this map name makes me think about everytime I see it! 😄

Last nights efforts were much, much improved in my opinion. We managed to kick some ass with the server "hopping"
Good communication and movement and decision making about when to stay and when to go. 😉
Other than a couple of times where I thought I was in Night of the Lepus, we had some quality players on 🙂
After everyone left but Lexx and I, the map switched to Oman which was a fun little battle.

There was quite of bit of "leapin" going on last night. I thought that the patch was supposed to address that...
But I'm with you on the communication last night, it was good. Lots of squad chat. I'm looking forward to Friday, hopefully we can get the server started before 10, and get in some good games. 😀
The patch addressed prone spamming supposedly and I didn't see any of that. Bunnies were aplenty though. Got some comments in chat about "kicking bunny hoppers my ass" - I need to get the console updated so that I can do that. I did warn at least one person and he seemed to do it less after that.
My understanding is they made it where the reticle disappears if you come up from Prone for a split second. Going down on the ground did not change. As much as I don't like it, it is a valid Military tactic.
As for the bunny's. How agressive do we want to get on this? I mean, I do it once in a blue moon. I don't mind if someone does it once in a while, but Jack Rabbits suck.
if someone hops a few times I tend not to worry about it. If everytime I see them they are pogoing, I give them a warning in the chat. So far I haven't had to go any further than that.
I know it is a game and hitting the decks is fine but in real life you can NOT plop down on the ground and shoot that fast.
Even with a pistol it would take you a second and no way with a rifle. You drop down, get your weapon up to eye level and shoot, takes a second. Yes I have done it, I was not in the military but I was in ROTC at one time and was a damn good shot. The only freshman ever asked to join the varsity rifle squad as I shot average 90+(out of 100) with 6+/10 'X''s meaning bull eyes.
I do not care about getting up as you already had the fight. They needed to put a small delay in going prone.

Wow, as long as the game allows jumping or diving, what's the beef? For crying out loud, when thier jumping just shot where they are going to be. Too kick for this reason, man, but come to think of it, there are several lameass reasons BF2 admins servers kick people.
Its an arcade game, not a war simulation. I just think this would make the clan look petty.
