Does anyone around here play any MMORPG's on a regular basis? I quit World of Warcraft about 6 months ago and haven't found anything since that I felt like picking up.

BG plays a MMORPG of some sort although I can't recall what it is off the top of my head.

We have a couple of guys around that are former WoW players and we lost about a half dozen clan members to the game when it came out 😒

I myself do not play any MMORPGs - I barely have enough time to play Battlefield 😄

Im addicted to ConquerOnline. Its a totally free mmorpg, so its not fancy like WoW but it has kept me going back for over 2 years now.

Client and info can be found here if ya want to check it out

    www.conqueronline.com

if you do decide to give it a whirl sign up on Dreams>Dream server and I'll get ya power leveled to at least 20 in about an hour - that way you can access training grounds. Im on pretty much whenever I'm not at work, though Saturday I'm doing something IN REAL LIFE 😮 but I'll be back on Saturday night lol.

If Microsoft actually puts together the Shadowrun MMORPG based on SR3 rules, you'll see me completely disappear for about 6 months. But until then, no.

I have been a MMOG junky for a while. If you want dont mind infantile attitudes and can see through lower bit graphics into a well thought out game then you could try the free-to-play Runescape. Its faster than the latest WoW and FFXI series of MMORPG just not as pretty.

In the same graphical league as WoW and FFXI is City of Heroes/Villains. It is actually quite amusing and not too challenging, but the benefit is that you dont have to wait up for a bunch of people to arrive across a map that takes hours to cross so its a quick jump into the action sort of MMORPG. Teamwork is fun and very ueful as you get higher into the game.

FFXI is a well done game but as said before, you better have the time of day and night.. hell just slate your whole life to the game because if you get addicted you aint seeing the light of day for a while. I still have a few family members addicted to it, luckily they are in a different state so I dont have to deal with it. This game is so tiem consuming/addicting that there is actually a diet derived from it, 'the FFXI Diet,' because you get sucked into the game and before you know it you ave 1hr to sleep before work and have yet to eat dinner or any other meal for that matter. A body starvation and mind sucking game... but still fun and worth it to play.

WoW, i have no idea I think I played a rogue server for a few days but never really got into it, am going to try it again as they just put out a trial and I got a few of th disks.. if anything I will play another rogue server.

If you are a true roleplayer and care nothing for graphics and can tap into that C64 side of life, or even remember Zork, then I would suggest learning the intricacies of Telnet and the many many MUDs out there. Text-Based roleplaying games with nothing to do but read and imagine and roleplay. Without any of that pretty distracting from the story graphics.. hah. Best clients are zMUD and Portal, be careful they are addicting, but so plentiful that you can just keep finding a new format.. or end up making your own -been there done that- MUDs were my first good taste of MMORPGs.. though the massively is doubtful.
