I've pretty much given up hope on Battlefield. EA is going to ruin it. Plain and simple.
The good news is UT2007 should be out in about 6 months and they actually support their modders, going as far as giving one a full fledge contract.
Then there is Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.....
And for something completely different, Dungeons & Dragons: Stormreach....

This all looks like disaster for me. I see the writing on the wall. I have tried to game for years and never foudn anything that I could put my ADD aside enough to enjoy. Sure I love playing madden or NHL, but only 1 game at a time. BF42 changed that I was addicted at the demo and bought the game the next day. I have been more or less addicted since. Til now. Bored with it and no sign of anything good in sight. maybe quake will work. UT didn't cut it, maybe the new version would. D&D, well not sure and it's a monthly subscription which I hate on principal. Now couple all this with the fact I now sit on 5 town boards. And then the fact my wife is talking kids, and I am talking about back to school at night. I see the writing on the wall and it scares me.
HL2 mods are not to far off!
I've been keeping my eye on a few war mods that look to be good!
Although no vehicles!
Does UT support vehicles?
Maybe I need to try HL2, but it seemed to be a bust?
