First put all the vehicles back in. I see no reason to remove the tanks from Karkand for example. With a few good AT guys he wonât be much of a problem. It also forces the other team to have some AT guys and not all be running around with PKMâs 😉
Makes it more challenging.
Just leave out arty though no matter what, too concentrated a number of players in one spot for that.
Leave the UAVâs in as well, why not. 🙂
I agree with the no arty in smaller city maps. I kinda like the no UAV. I like the no tank. It's the purest infantry experience I've had in BF2. . .and this is from the guy who whores the AT kit.
I can see where the arty & UAV have their place on the LARGE maps. I PREFER the smaller city maps without them, but there are only a few of those.

Post images of the maps on a web page someplace marking the push flags and the order. Number them. That way we can examine them and see what is what. I understand that since it is server side there is not much in game things you can do and that is okay. Just letting us know what they are will solve most problems. As it is now we have no idea what flags are what on some maps, and which ones are not part of the supply line.
Someday marking the disputed flag, like the supply creates, would make it perfect but that may never be.
I'm hoping they eventually make this a small client-side mod with some graphical enhancements. It would really be nice if the mini-map outlined the capturable flags. This is not a mod that needs a LOT of graphical enhancement, but a little bit would go a long way.

I agree with Lexx, and was going to suggest myself, to maybe add some custom maps to the equation. Since it is ran on an unranked server anyway you could include a lot of cool new maps to play on AND have a new way to play them. That is a win win in my book.
Yeah, eventually it will be nice to see some of the better custom maps in the mix. I think for now they want to keep this as easy for the average player as they can, in terms of install and DL's. It's kind of a two-edged sword, though. Sure, it's easy for someone to decide to play and just jump in, but it doesn't seem different enough for the ppl who are actively looking for a new BF2 experience.
Maybe have 2 servers: One that allows anyone with an up-to-date BF2 to play, and another that has custom maps that will cater to those looking for something new, and who are actively DL new mods and content. Eventually, when word spreads and enough ppl have tried it, they can get brave and go to a mod that requires DL's and has new maps, and some custom graphics. . . just a thought.

I also had a blast yesterday guys. If I could offer just one suggestion, that would be that my team needed to work together more. There was a lot of times that I was on the disputed flag or the one just before it with no backup at all. Or I was just an idiot and was unsure where everyone went 😉
We need to get the defense and offence squad thing going or something
I agree with you. You're an idiot 😛
Seriously, I think we need 2 squads. We did pretty well with the one squad, but one squad cannot do everything. Towards the end, we did have 2 squads, and I think it worked better. Even if we all stick together, this way we have two squad leaders to spawn on.
If we're gonna HAVE 2 squads, we'll need 4-6 ppl in each. 3 ppl in one squad just isn't enough firepower, especially if the squad leader stays back for a spawn point. 1-2 guys with the Magic PKM's can hold off the 3-man squad, and we all know the odds of seeing a PKM.
So, either we have one effective squad with GRB's doing one task. . .or we can have 2 squads, and we'll need to invite lone-wolves into the squad.
Remember to look for team players, or good players, to invite into our squads.
That is all. . .OVER!
