Looks like Logitech dropped the ball this time.

They revamped the G15 keyboard but IMHO for the worse.

They removed some macro keys from the left side to shrink it down. This is a mistake but I can understand it in some ways.
    I can forgive this one.

They embedded the LCD screen, now it looks smaller to me but they also made the text orange on a black background??? WTF???? Where is the color screen? Where is the higher res screen? What kind of change is this?

I like the black text on white screen. It is bright and stands out, easily seen when you game. They say orange will stand out better? I think the total opposite. It will take longer to focus when you look down at a darker screen with dimmer contrast than the black text on white is now.

They made the keys light with orange as well instead of the blue. Again WTF? Blue is cool man... orange just seems like a step backward. Blue is bright and looks good. Orange is bland and dull.

What is with them not putting USB 2.0 ports on the back? Even if we had to plug a separate brick in it, at least give us the option to have USB 2.0 on it.

They have a new G9 mouse that I will get when the wireless version comes out. G10 or whatever.

I am hooked on the new Logitech MicroGear™ Precision Scroll Wheel: I use one at work here and it really is awesome for web pages. You can flick it and it just scrolls and scrolls real fast on its own. No friction. Great for zooming up and down long pages like our forums. I have the G7 and love it so that will be a nice step up.

I was really hoping they would include this feature in the next gaming mice and they did. Good job there Logitech!

    Ack! Yeah that does blow...

I use all 18 macro keys on my G15 and would hate to lose that functionality right now.

As for the colors, yeah, everything I have has some type of blue glow to it, so this would just stick out kinda odd... And I agree the the LCD should not be orange on black for the same reasons...

Oh well... At least I still have my speed pad if I have to replace the G15 some day...

For mice, I have the logitech mx revolution and am happy with it... I would have to see the other grips to give an opinion on the G9

I saw these and thought they looked pretty cool. Then I saw that they were $100 each 😱

I don't have a problem with the new screen, except that it doesn't move. . . and it's not color. . .and it's not higher res. The orange(ish) on black doesn't look bad to me. The current one looks like a backlit LCD watch, and that never really grabbed me anyway.

Key backlight color change is underwhelming. I guess after 2 years, they want a new look.

I never use the macros. I had one set up to launch winamp for awhile, then decided to just remove the macro manager from startup. Why use that for no other reason but winamp launching?

Seems like you get less for your $100 with this new model. On the upside, I won't have to replace my 6-month-old keyboard because I have to have the new hotness.

I always wanted to set up macros to type messages into Battlefield 2 like "Why did you punish me, you ran right in front of me!"

I have never been able to get that to work at all. If anyone does, let me know.

I like the current G15 screen myself. The contrast is great for seeing it real fast when you game.
