New Game Thoughts

I mentioned DDO: Stormreach and it seems like Bubba and Brye are interested, but past that no one else has made a comment. Is there any interest in this game?

If not, is it the Genre?
the monthly fee?
the game?

If we were to look into a RPG that may have FPS elements like CTF, etc and not have a monthly fee, would you be interested?

The reason I am asking is because Guild Wars is starting to move more towards this type of game with the expansion coming out this year. There is no monthly fee and from the reviews I have read, it appears to be fairly fun.

I am more interested in DDO: Stormreach, but if you guys are not interested, I don't know that I would get it. However, I need to understand why and what we can do to find another fun game to play and Guild Wars sounds like a good alternative.

Joe and I and several others play daily now for about 3 hours a day. The more I play it the better off it gets.

Any game that requirs a player to pay as they go is just SUCK!
It kills me that I can't play WoW I'd be 110% in to it if they just madeit free to play.

Guild Wars does not require you to pay as you go.

Honestly, |GRB| is no fun. I played a few times when I still despised it all to hell, and we were all together, it was kind of sucky.

I may play again with you all sometime, just to see if it's changed any. But for now, I'll stay playing on my favorites and with Joe.

Another thing is that Fridays are NEVER good for me, I end up playing and ultimately preferring times when you all are still at work.

Joe and I usually play 12 (noon) to 3 or 4PM Eastern Standard time Monday thru Friday.
I can play while I work and he works 2nd shift.
Marathon days are 5am Eastern to 7pm Eastern we do that about 1 or 2 times a month.

We have ~ 6 other people that we squad up with from his Cod2 clan. But they are not the daily regulars like Joe and I.


I'll look in to Guild Wars on Monday.
