New Mods

I know everyone is interested in playing some other stuff. Here is your chance to voice your opinion. List some of the mods you would like to see. I'll start a vote after we get a few.

I'd like to see the CTF4 and Troopers mods myself.... Anyone else?

And then it wouldn't hurt to be able to log on with just a few people and play some 1v1 RA3ish. -> UT2k4 RA3ish mod <-

airbuccs and jailbreak, and definitely the ra3ish mod ice posted.

What are some new things Nimda? I know there were a ton of great mods I found in a magazine a while back.

i have no idea other than what's been posted in this thread. ice and i play a bit of rocketeer last night and it's almost identical to ra3 for q3, which was one of my favorite mods for q3. however, it doesn't have a big team-based clan arena, like ra3 did. 🙁

it looks like ctf4 would be pretty easy to setup once it's on the server, so i'd work on at least getting that installed first, atomm. and then perhaps as you have time, put up all the rest of those mods, starting with rocketeer. 🙂

or you can give me access and i can install it all, seriously, i won't fuck anything up. 🙂

thanks atomm for getting me setup to install mods.

i got jailbreak and clone bandits installed and setup with no problems.

rocketeer however is a different story. since it installs to its own folder structure within the ut2004 folder, it requires a server restart using it's on ROCKETEER.sh file (which is in the ut2004/system folder). i'm guessing airbuccs will be the same way since it installs into its own folder structure as well.

so, with that being said, i guess we need to figure out your new server stop/start script and get it working with these other mods, and just play those on designated nights (since we won't be able to switch off of them during the night).

I can do that. When I get the new scripts running, I'll tweak them for different mods. One thought, If we start switching mods in the middle of the night, I have a feeling it will push other players away. If we promote something for a given night, we should stick to it.

so where has everyone been? i been out the last two weeks entertaining guests, but i was in the server last night, along with only 2 others, eeb and shinare. we played a few games of clone bandits and then switched it over to jailbreak for a few games. these mods would both rock with 8+ people. c'mon, people! fill the server next week for some hawt jailbreak action!

I so want to play with you all, but when I attach to our server it says something about a bogus SN and contact Tech Support.
I do and they can't help me.
I can join other servers no problem, |GRB| is always a no-go.

If I can find a bargain shelf CD I'll pick that up and see if it fixes my problem.

I personally don't like jailbreak. But then I have weird taste. My main thing is the claustraphobia inducing maps.

ummm so yeah I went to join in and it seems our server is down??

I can see it running on the server just fine.

I loaded up UT and it had a ? by the server name. I connected and got in fine. I wonder if something is up on the Game Browser.

I restarted the server because it was showing a ? in the game browser. It's running Jailbreak, so everything should be all good.
