Those screenshots look awesome. Deffinately need to play this at the end of the month.
Speaking of the end of the month, would you guys be interested in helping us support Custom Map Night in Europe? We've had a lot of people from Europe ask about playing, but the big pond doesn't help their ping. Basically, you would have to run our map pack for one night. We would promote the event and list your server as the European Server for the event. It would be once a month, on the last Friday of the month. It's a great event to get to know people in the community and it would be great to support both sides of the Atlantic. Anyway, let me know or send me email atomm (at) gamersradio.com to discuss this further.
I would love to, but I'm afraid [MoX] isn't. We're going in a different direction now. We got a multi game clan, Planetside, BFV, WoW, and we seem to be going full steam toward Tribes : Vengeance. I'm fighting a losing battle with BFV and especially with custom maps. I would imagine that this will be my last BFV one as I just can't get to play them, there are NO UK based servers like this or Doomlab. Just a lot a apathy I think. Sad, as I love mapping for BF....
Man, I hate to loose you. I think you are one of the really talented BF mappers. You do a good job of balancing astetics with playability. Considering the number of bad maps I have reviewed, I always looked forward to the first time I loaded one of your maps. I knew it would be good enough to play during our Custom Map Night, even before loading it.
If you know of any European clans that would be interested in doing this, let me know. If nothing else, you would still have a place to play custom maps one night a month.
Heh! Thanks for your comments. Nice to know I'm doing something right.
Have you (and other guys here) been on the Battlefield Mappin forum recently? Looks like it's dying now, the posts are a lot less... It's a shame, and I'm concerned that BF just can't hold a steady long term community.
I think that too many are seeing BFV as a short stopping point between BF42 and BF2.
The PBF forums are pretty worthless. Most people I know use the ones at doomlabs. They are alot better and more helpful there.
Yea, I've noticed that the BFV forums have slowed down a whole lot in general. As much as it pains me to say this, I think the WWII mod was a bust. Hardly anyone playing it. I've had CTD problems with it on 2 different computers. I really love playing it, but 3 maps just aren't enough. I wish Cajunwolf would hurry up and release his mod tools so everyone else can start making BF42 maps into BFV.
If you decide to do any more maps, just holler.
