SO, the 1.4 patch was delayed for 24 hours. This explains a lot about how EA has acted, and how long it takes for them to address issues. Apparently, wherever they are, 24 hours equals several weeks.

Has everyone DL'ed the Point of Existence mod for BF2?

Just in case it's still needed, here's the Password for thier pre-release download:

watch for leading or trailing spaces, as that will invalidate the password.

Cindy and I played this tonight. I like it, but I REALLY think they either need to add back the guidable RPG rockets or give the AT player both anti-armor AND anti-personel rockets to chose from, by changing the round you fire, or having 2 launchers (like AT & AA in Desert Combat)

Atomm expressed concern that the vehicles were too fragile (Doc is gonna do well in this- or something to that effect), but I assure you, I peppered vehicle after vehicle with rockets, and anything larger than a truck is very difficult to kill. I don't believe the ENTIRE back of the vehicle is 100% damage. I'll need to experiment if I'm gonna continue playing this mod, to find the sweet spots.

I like the mod as a ground-pounder, even though the AT kit is weird to me. . .but the vehicles are odd. Most guns on vehicles make the display like a TV screen, making it lower detail and darker.

I've played it but not enough to get a good feel for the vehicles as I've played mostly infantry maps so far. I want to play it more so everyone download it!

Doc, I think Atomm was refering to the hit damage in the BF2142 vehicles?

FYI, PoE is being updated with a server-side patch only and should be good to go.
