Hey guys, would you guys be interested in hosting something like this?

I think you guys have a pretty killer community here and definitely a sweet site with good servers running and just generally a nice place to come for BFV and BCV users. Perhaps providing this type of thing could really boost traffic over to here as I think most people would want to save precious time on the remedial tasks such as props and things. Dunno, it's up to you but my idea would be like a thumbnail page of images of the prefabs and then links to get the .Pfa (pfa? whatever the prefab extension is) files. Maybe put the author credits below each. This way, you can start with propped versions of all your bunkers, tents, houses, buildings, towers, etc... You know, like never have to add the tower AND the ladder ever again type of thing.

Just me thoughts that won't leave me head alone.

We would be happy to help as long as it's something we can afford from a cash standpoint. I like the idea. Do you think there is a demand for something like this?

Apparently not, to be honest. I haven't gotten much in terms of responses for the idea. I figure it's a dream come true. But I guess most people would rather their content be 100% their own. This I understand as I'm an artist by trade and have lived that way for many years. At the very least, I hope that everybody considers the advantage and takes the time to learn how to make them and preplan for them in their maps. It saves a ton of time and makes for more content in the end with less "empty" objects and things.

The ultimate drawback is the inability to rotate multiple objects as a whole. It makes it so you have to create a new prefab for every single rotation that you could possible want to choose. Otherwise, it's pointless to use a prefab cause you have to edit the hell out of everything each time you place and have to rotate it.

Yeah I think its a good idea in theory, but without extensive preview files, etc it might be relatively unused by most people. I think I would like to look at some prefab stuff, but so much of my map stuff is built based on layout dependent on specific terrain, etc that I don't think I would want to really use em that much.
