I know mining is a good support profession for Engineering, but is there a second profession that would support Engineering as well?

The reason I am asking is I am going to take Engineering on one character and Armor on another. I figured I could take mining on one and a different support class on the other.

    Any thoughts?

Armor? What do you mean armor? Leatherworking?, or Blacksmithing/armorsmith? There is a big difference. I'm assuming the BS/AS combo or you'd probably go for leatherworking.

I would say stick with mining for engineering. To my knowledge there really isn't another prof that supports engineering as well as mining. So in that case, I'd probably pick flowers. IMHO its the best profit making profession in the game. Your miner is going to be overworked mining for two professions, so the extra cash you make off of herbalism will help to buy some of those minerals your going to need.

Yeah, if you want to be an engineer then Mining is a must. Or at least have some sort of feeder toon doing the mining since you HAVE to have stone and such for Eng. I picked eng. for one of my priest and I think it is just funny racing a warrior to a mine and start gathering before they do... They just look at you like WTF!!!!
