Holy cow batman, this looks very sweet!!!!!! I am DL ing this one for sure. I think we may have our FNF mod.....
Won't know until we actually play it but it reads well 😉
Actually I am getting pretty sick of the entire community of only wanting to point whore and play ranked servers. People bitch for new types of game play and we HAVE IT!! There are some good mods out there with tons of fun to be had but no one plays them, why, F*c&ing points!!!!!
I think the entire system is jacked to tell the truth and it really has ruined things. I do understand it helps people get motivated, to a degree, to help you etc.. but it does not always do what it was intended for now does it....
I played it for a bit tonight. It's interesting. Going to take a bit to get used to. No notice as to whom you killed or who killed you. No HUD at all, you start loosing health if you get down some. Your vehicles don't show up on the minimap as empty - at least the helos and tanks don't.
Had a CTD after playing for about 45 minutes. Decided to post this and go to bed, so I need to check it out some more.
I actually had an old version but never installed it. I am not sure I will like it but am willing to try anything at least twice*.
We can try that other mod we player last time again as well as NAW. Remember we still have map packs as well as CTF. There are other things to do soâ¦
* Twice is always a good rule in case the first time is just a non standard bad experience. I have this rule with restaurants as well as other things. If after 2 times it is still lame then it is just lame 😉

What the hell does that last sentence mean? I get sick if I decide to get 'jiggy' with it?
hehe. THat was a pretty piss-poor explanation. When you get shot and your health drops to (insert some % here) then you actually continue to lose health as if you were out of bounds but slower. Gives you some time to find a medic, but not a lot. Someone on my squad called it "bleeding out".
The no HUD means that you don't have anything to tell you what your status is regarding health, ammo in the clip, etc....
Well after playing this 2 times I like it. Although haven't had a chance to play an extraction map yet. I like some of the added things. The zoom feature is great.

Oh OK, some old Half-Life mods used to do this (Firearms comes to mind). . .I was confused before, because normally OTHER PPL get sick when I try to get 'jiggy' with it.
I dunno, there better be SOME form of health indicator, 'cuz the 'wild-ass guess' indicator is really half-assed.
This Mod is Sooo much better than BF2!!!! From a burned out perspective. The team play is there. And the fighting is always good because both teams have the same objective! Tonight I was on a server that had about twenty peeps. On my team we always had 2 squads on, one titled defense and the other offense. Yeah I know some complain about not having meters but you can tell yur dying graphically by a shade of red that flashes on your peripheral. When Tanks/vehicles are almost gone you hear it. Didn't experience much repairs but there was almost alway a medic around. The rearangement of the kits is another plus. The Maps are great as well. Most of these maps are ground pounders with very little tanks and APC's. These guys did a great job!!
keep meaning to try this again, but between the time limitations i've been having and the other mods out right now that I have wanted to try, I haven't had a chance.
PRmm wrote:THANKS very much to all of you for your patience while we sorted out some issues with PRMM 0.31.
NOTE: This requires BF2 1.3 and PRMM 0.30 installed.
- Removed ability to drop vehicles until we make some PR changes to it - Disabled the PR Squad Hopping penalty system. The BF2 1.3 penalty system is used instead. - Reduced volume and sound radius of SLAM timer beeps - Removed Arty and Supply Drop capabilities from the Squad Leader map popup menu. These are now only available through the Squad Leader Comm Rose. - Removed healing abilites from Supply Crates. You must now find a Medic to get healed. - Added back in Vehicle Resupply capabilities to Supply Crates. - Boosted Ammo Kit reloading speed by 50%. - Reduced initial grenade toss delay by about 70%. - Reduced Grenade Reloading delay to 4 seconds from 8 seconds in 0.30.

Yeah, I didn't even get home until midnight. At that point I debated firing up battlefield and playing for a bit but common sense won out for once and I browsed the web for a few and went to bed 🙂
I enjoyed playing this mod with a small group on Friday. By the time everyone got in that server however, it was just carnage. We were playing like 5 on 5 or 6 on 6 with essentially a single squad on each side and the teamwork was great and you could survive for more than a few seconds.
Played this for a couple hours last night. It really can be a lot of fun for small groups. It is tough and I died many times not really knowing how or why. On the positive side there were lots of small squad tactics going on and even defense being played 🙂
Thanks for the heads-up. For everyone who needs it, it's 272 megs to get the update patch, so plan accordingly. For the thinking, visually or context-impaired, this means
It's BIG, get it LONG BEFORE you want to play! ! !

US intervention works for me now. That was the one I couldn't play. . .if anyone else has problems, set the Terrain to MEDIUM in the video options.
The only problem with that was the utter pwnage by the opposite teamI experienced. Played a couple rounds yesterday - one round we got one flag! Another round I ended with a -2.
Still one of the best mods out. Project Reality looked interesting, if somewhat primitive, the one round we played last Friday.
There are a half-dozen or so active Project Reality servers. USI has more than that. Euroforces Servers I don't know, but I do know the numbers dwindled rapidly after the first few weeks. Don't know if that will happen with AF or not.
Correct. And in theory this is a great idea that I wish they had done with Special Forces. From what I have read, most of the servers that mix vanilla and an expansion pack find that 90% (I made that number up) of the people disconnect when an EF map comes on because they either don't have it, or don't want to play them. Will the same thing happen with AF? I don't know.
It irritates me because the same thing happened with Battlefield 1942. The Road to Rome Expansion pack was ok, but people just weren't interested in playing many of the maps. You would have 2-3 thousand servers playing vanilla BF42, maybe a hundred playing Road to Rome, and even fewer playing the Secret Weapons expansion.
For those of us that Played BF42 and BFV, we were spoiled by new maps, (and weapons and vehicles sometimes) with every major patch. This really makes me not want to pay for 3 new maps and a new airplane or two that I will likely never fly.
Not saying I won't ever buy it. I just need to be convinced that it is worth my $10.
Yeah I'm bunned about the SF drop off. I liked the maps and altered game play. I hardly see a server running night maps. EF didn't feel right to buy the way it went. Last night was the first night I had a shit game in PR.
