Can I have a bit more info please. So this is your page and you get a slice, which is cool, but what all do you get by ordering from gogamer as opposed to someplace else?
I personally like going to a store and getting it. Is there a reason I should not do it that way. Usually when they ship these things you have to wait days longer.
Why do you have the "Preorder Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Today!" section listed 6 times man?? That is confusing man. Which box of the 6 should you fill out? What is the difference??? I understand it is the same but that is confusing and ugly man. 😉
Does anyone know if there is going to be a central server in QW that you can register a unique name?? How do we do this if there is a way to register a name early?
GoGamer sponsored us with the 2 free copies. The other guys wouldn't even approve my affiliate app, even though I was with them before they changed affiliate management companies.
Seriously, do whatever you feel comfortable with. I am not twisting anyone's arm here.
As for the look, it serves it's purpose.... I'll go into more detail privately if you like....

No it is okay man. I was just asking 😉
BTW You need to remove the extra line break:
You have:
Cutting edge technology, including stunning visuals, realistic game play physics, and
network code optimized for online play combine to deliver an unprecedented online gaming experience where any Gamer or Clan will find hours of fragging fun.
Should be: Cutting edge technology, including stunning visuals, realistic game play physics, and network code optimized for online play combine to deliver an unprecedented online gaming experience where any Gamer or Clan will find hours of fragging fun.
I have not ordered my copy yet but probably will soon.
What disappoints me is you guys will buy a game at $40-$50 without even a demo video to watch. We have NO idea how the game will play. We have not even seen the game play yet alone actually play a demo of it.
The disappointment comes in with the fights to get members here to pay a meager $10 for an expansion pack for BF2 which we WERE playing.
Most here finally, after a long struggle, bought AF. Hardly anyone here bought EF at all. BF2142 won't even come into this conversation.
As a clan we really are not organized nor are we in any agreement of what to do or what to play most times. We cannot even agree on what to play for FnF these days.
1) most of the feedback that I was seeing on Euroforces and 2142 made me think that they would be crap. In fact many of the people that I know outside of this clan who bought 2142 have stopped playing it because it was crap - a summation of their words, not mine.
2) While I (mostly) enjoy BF2, I don't like the direction that the series is going and don't want to support continuing in that direction. I bought armored fury and like those maps except for the fact that as usual in BF2, good pilots are almost untouchable and make the game miserable to play.
When the next BF game comes out I will look at it for sure. I am hoping that the disappointing sales of 2142 have at least made them examine where the series is going and that they reconsider the direction that they've gone with the ranking, the rewarding of time spent over skill, and even the little things like random bullet deviation that allow you to empty an entire clip into someone from 3 feet and still miss while they turn around and plant you with a single shot.
I guess what it comes down to is that I am willing to take a chance with something different. Will I be disappointed if it is crap? Yes, but at least it's not the same crap with a shiny new veneer. What was it that the shrub said? "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, won't get fooled again"

Its really simple, its not from EA. Everyone here is sick of EA, and thier practices the last few months. Its time to drop it and try another game on for size. At least from what I've seen online it looks to be a BF replacement anyways.

So in the future it is NOT a money issue, it is an EA issue. So if we like QW and an expansion pack or something comes out we will all get it right? We will also all buy any other FPS games that come out as long as it is NOT EA.
I just wanted to understand our policy as a clan and what we will be doing in the future. I do now.
Nahh, its not a clan policy for chirst sakes. I bought an expansion pack that wasn't played much, 2142 that never worked right..
Its time for a change from EA's bloated patched out the ass, laggy ass software.
I promise you right here and now, if QW's frontend doesn't have a buddy list, or redirection for 3rd party maps, etc, I won't buy it. I'm not that impressed with the Quake engine, so I'm not going to commit until I see the working demo.
There is no way in hell I'll ever buy another expansion pack.
Paladin, I am with Sarge. I didn't like the direction BF started going. I was going to buy 2142 just to show my support for you, then I had my computer crash and it took me a bit to recover.
Once I got back online, QW was around the corner, so blowing my Best Buy gift card on 2142 instead of QW just seemed pointless. I can't tell you how many times I picked it up in a store and thought, man I don't really want this game, but I want to support the guys, to only put it back down because it was $40.
The way I see it, we will check this out, then Frontlines: Fuel of War is around the corner, then UT2007. The future is bright.....
Lexx, I read that there would be a map download feature, but I haven't heard anything on a buddy list.

Thanks, keep the info coming. I'll probably order it a few hours after testing the demo since everything I've been reading has been positive.
I've crossposted this link on my UT forum and will pass info to them in the same thread. Even 2 or 3 more users from there would help field a QW team better.

I agree 100%, and in fact I got a suprise Target gift card this past week. I was for $15, I went to spend it on something fun. I picked up 2142 about 4 times, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I have no desire for the game. EA has soured me on the franchise, but want to try to support others. I decided to wait for the next thing. It look like the 'next' thing will be QW... I will buy that. If it switches to Frontlines, I will do what I can to buy that. If Battlefield 8134 comes out and it looks interesting and doesn't have ads I would consider it. I think if EA has a brain they will do a new 1942 with a new engine and new maps. Or maybe a Korean war... but I think there is a facination with WWII that was quite profitable for many companies.

Do not take this the wrong way man but the last thing the gaming industry needs is ANOTHER WWII game.
Seriously that game format has been beaten to death, the corpse buried, dug up again, beaten again, re-buried, dug up, placed on a stick left out in the sun for about 5 days, torn apart with all the bits placed in a barrel, burned then the ashes scattered all over the nearest lake.
There are WAY too many WWII games, lets move on to something more fun. I really prefer modern warfare. I never got into 1942 until DC came out for it. Those old weapons etc.. are just boring. Do not get me wrong I LOVE the WWII history etc.. I am into it. That WWI and the Civil war. I just do not want to game in that era.

And that is your preference. Mine is WWII, I think from the community there is support for WWII, that is all.

I know man it is just that there are sooo many WWII games already out you know... Medal of honor series, Call of duty series etc.... not saying they are not cool. Just that it has been done to death.. 😉
There is not a current WWII FPS however. One of the great things about BF42 was that the community had many other things to discuss other than noobs and bunny hoppers and ranks. There were epic discussions regarding the history that was associated with the game on PBF. Games that take place in the future lose that aspect that the community has to learn and that is one of the big reasons why the BF2 community sucks so much. Too much concern over ranks and not enough other stuff to talk about.
I miss fighting the battles of my grandfather's. One of the reasons why I enjoy EoD so much is the history associated with it as well.

Medal of Honor and Call of duty are not FPS?? or did you mean multi player. Anyway its cool. Why not add another one.. 😉

Thats a good point Sarge. I was watching some wwii history last week on weapons. Single bolt action rifles on both sides really slowed down the action.
Perhaps the new faster modern weapons make the game too arcadish, but I do like heavy action 🙂
