Well, thats not fair.

We are the most none point whoring server there is. Have you seen our rules? We made our rules based on not being able to point whore. If you are gonna post that you should stay away from our server at least give a reason. There is nothing stating why you should stay away.

Were you guys kicked or something? If not why complain?

Wow that was a quick response from them...how the hell did they find out?

We pride our selves on running a fair and tactical server. We contemplate change the rules several times to accomidate the pubbies but we stick by our curent rules to make it a game of tactics. YEs, the more you play the better you get and some of our members have gotten good, we are monitoring thier overpowering, but, they have not cheated or broken EA's ROE. We welcome all players who follow our rules and like to play a solid game.

It's been awhile, so it's hard to remember (in detail) exactly what happened, but we had an extremely unpleasant experience. Notice that yours is the only server listed. Our games on your server prompted us to create a thread reminding us of servers never to try again, and we haven't added to it since.

A clue may be mined from Bubba's post, "Helo-raping jerk-faces!" This is a very funny quote, because despite my constant ribbing of his alleged violent tendencies, he is more calm and level-headed than myself, and is more than capable of stringing together sentences that do not sound as though a 5th grader wrote them.

The opposing team was having quite a day with the choppers and really putting it to our team over an extended period. It tends to leave a bad taste in one's mouth, especially if there is little to no way to compensate (no airpower of your own to take the heat off)

Our little clan plays for fun, and we play a lot of mods (in the past, GRB was active in modding as well). We don't ladder, and so far, we don't have any good pilots (well, one guy, but he's not around much). That night, there wasn't a pilot on our team, either in GRB or among the random pub guys that were there.

In competition, you use what tools are effective to win the match, and if the other team cannot keep up, it is their problem. However, to constantly punish the other team with a weapon they cannot defend against in a friendly pub match smacks of poor sportsmanship and makes for a bad experience. Hence, our post.

I'm sure others will chime in with their recollections of this night.

To add to what Doc said, it was more than simply chopper raping. I believe it was Dragon Valley 64 player. Is that the one with the Air Carrier/docks on one end and the Airfield on the other end?

I will give your guys credit. They are very good pilots. We have no problem with that. However, not only were we down to one flag, but they were also stealing our own air assets. Effectively giving us no chance to fight back. Rather than trying to cap the flag, they continued to bombard our whole team as we spawned. At this point, I commented that they may want to hold off a bit, otherwise the public players were probably going to tire of this spawn raping.

All of that was fine. It was the response that lead us to place your server in this thread.

Several of your members began to berrate us for the comments I made. In fact, it was that rather unsportsman like conduct that made us decide your server was no longer one we wanted to visit.

We can handle getting our butts handed to us. We have always prided ourselves on taking our wins and loses with dignitiy. We can not stomach others who do not understand what it is to be honorable when playing online.

How you run your server is up to you. We just choose to not play there.

Thanks Atomm. I'd forgotten the stealing of the chopper. I knew we didn't have any air power up for some reason.

Dman, talk to your clan if you don't want posts like this around the 'Net, and be glad it's on our little site instead of posted on widely-read forums like the PBF forums. Total air base-raping, and rude, unsportsman-like comments to reasonably-worded requests do not speak well of a server.

Okay so lets make a deal, we try it again and if it is still that bad then we will not only post here but on other forums as well. That is fair right? You get to prove us wrong and if we are still right then you get mentioned EVERYWHERE!

I will tell you I am new to this clan but you will not find a bunch of better and more fair guys than us.

We run our own server and would not, and have not, put up with that kind of behavior.

In fact, it is often said in our TeamSpeak, "Guys, Back off a bit. If we pound these guys too bad, they will all leave." Working together as much as we do and being in TeamSpeak gives an advantage over the average joe pubber. We make it a point not to let it get out of hand.

In fact, we tend to play on both sides when we are on our server. That way, it tends to balance out for everyone.

As for the base rapping, I've always let it known that I don't have a problem with it. It can be a valid part of the game. Some of the guys here will disagree with me and that is fine. But we all agree the way we handle ourselves is the most important part of our reputation.

Case in point, after asking your guys to back off a bit, we did not say anything else. We simply left. Other clans would have sat there and argued with you. That's not our style....

whatever. I'm not going back. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

Im sure my guys were all within there rights within the rules and perhaps they might have been overpowering. I cant babysit everybody when Im not on.

Sorry to see that you had to post that we are a bad server and not to play on it. Your reason but doesnt seem like a valid one. Especially to give the first impression to everyone else. I could see if you were kicked or banned for no reason but.....

We are not in the habit of badmouthing anyone but we simply had a really bad time playing on your server. Why isn't that a valid reason? I am surprised that yours is the only one listed, and maybe we caught you guys on a bad night. I don't know, but am not inclined to waste my time finding out. And like was said before, we posted it here only - not on your forums, not on PBF, not on TotalBF2, just here, for the benefit of our members.

Lets not forget, like DocJon and Sarge said, be glad we kept it to ourselves here for our own reference. We did not post anything in a public forum about it. This is our site and we can post whatever we want to about bad servers, smacktards or how fat someone’s momma is.


Just like some parents do with there kids, you are trying to justify their bad behavior and you cannot.

Now go away or we shall taunt you a second time....

The gameplay is poor on that server.. got myself banned on purpose so I'd never accidentally go there again 😀

If you are thanking us for not telling others how bad your server is then maybe we should.

Maybe I should start a thread on PBF. You can then plead your case there..

This was never meant to be a public slam against your clan. . .just a note for us to remember a bad gaming experience in an attempt to avoid a repeat performance.

An intentional slam would've involved multiple boards and an attempt to state our case, which, you remember, we hadn't until you asked us to.

He does raise a good point though - any additions to this list should be with some sort of explanation to our millions of readers as to why they are being listed.

I do not feel we have to explain anything to anyone on our own forum!!! That was my original point all along. It is OUR forum and if we want to post about bad experiences with servers or people, this is our right in a private forum!

I do not feel we have to explain exactly point for point why we had a bad experience. If we choose to that is fine but if you play on a server and it just sucks, post it. Just say the name. www.thisserversucked.com was lame stay away. Enough said..

If we post something here then that is it, period. I am sick of everyone being so damn PC all the time. F-them if they do not like it!
We had a bad experience and thought they were idiots and that is our right to tell OUR other members.

Public forums are a bit different. Here though, it is 100% free speech. If I said Atomm is an asshole then that is my right. It is also his right to kick me out as it is HIS board.

You can say or do anything you want as long as your willing to accept the consequences 😉
