So, years ago I enjoyed the Elder Scrolls game. Since then, I have never really bothered with the series, but always wanted to. I finally got anxious and really wanted Skyrim. My wonderful wife gave me the game for Xmas.

Let me start with longest intro video ever. You can't skip it either. uggggg

Finally once the game starts. It's somewhat amusing. I enjoy the game in general, but it's a very open format for me, I don't feel like I have any guidance on what is next. I have run a couple 'quests' and there were OK. Again pretty, but not complicated.

All and all, it felt very very much like DDO but a touch watered down. Its not bad, but honestly for the amount of gaming time I have I would rather play BF3 or DDO for that matter.

I play it on PS3 and it is good for when I want to relax a bit and not be in the middle of fire fights...

GG as a whole if you are into RPG type games... And yes... Very open!

I will note that it is kinda funny how you can get a quest that says something like "Hey, I need [this]. Can you get that for me from that one place?" and you just kinda ignore it for a while till you feel like doing it... There is no urgency to do any of the quests...

Was watching a Game of the Year video on it and the devs said they tried to use flowing water as the subtle cue in the game..... when in doubt, or lost, or looking for something to do - find flowing water - it will guide the way.

    Neat idea.

(DDO misses you Bubba... very very badly very bad..... misses you.... )

i could afford one game this week, (the wife lost her job back in november), and hasnt got an unemployment check yet)<---Venting.
but i opted for skyrim over BF3.....guys who i know that have the 2 games are spending more time on skyrim....so with funds low, i should get the most bang for my buck.

    soooooo, happy, ummmm, skyrimming everyone.

i haven't grabbed it yet but I plan to, don't know if I will get it on PC or PS3 though. My cousin is a huge RPG fanatic and he played the crap out of it, but now he says he is tired of it and won't go back to it for a while.

I never really got into Elder Scrolls so it will be interesting for me to try out at some point, however SWTOR & BF3 suck up all my game time.

Was looking for a way to transfer this game. I don't think i'll play it again, but when you install it, it ties to your steam account. I dont' think there is a way to transfer it to another person.

and this makes sense, before i made the the choice, i DLed the torr.....ent, and had to bypass the ste....am filter, (if this offends anyone, i didnt DL it to swipe it, was going to buy it).
but wont let you play with steam running.

too much dinking around for me. if im going to buy a game like this, id like to hack and slash as much as possible. not learn this, and practice that.....im too old.

160 hours so far on Skyrim (3 character pay throughs... one Empire, one Stormcloaks, One nuetral (Nuetral was my first playthrough). Barely 46 hours on BF3.

Needless to say, I likes me some Skyrim. The only other games that have been on the list lately have been Arkham City (No idea how they're going to make a sequel to that one), and Minecraft.

So that's been my 4 games as of late, and in that order.

Drix, we should get you in DDO. If you like Skyrim, you'd like DDO.

    Head hurts.
Talking about BF3, DDO or Skrym.

Or YES all of the above.

By the way - may be changing it up a little - Still probably running Shan-Ta-Kor first but also will be running 3BC for EXP and Free Agent favor ( Level 3 - 8 )
