Star Wars: The Old Republic Deal

    Not hearing a lot of good things that make people want to keep up a $15/mo sub in the game.

    I hear you can max level with normal play in 30 days and then ......

    They do say the graphics are awesome - but its a one and done game.
    (not played it my self... and really like the free to play model to see if a game is worth it or not.
    It appears Star Wars is trying to get by on franchise alone.

    Also a lot of TRUE RABID Star Wars fans are really bashing it for having things in game that should not be there for another few thousand years - (C3PO) plus a bunch of other OOPS moments in game.

    Trivia as I don't really care that much for fake historical accuracy - as long as a game is fun..

    Basically they are saying the look of it is HEY LOOK AT US WERE STAR WARS LOOK LOOK YOUR IN STAR WARS LOOK STARRRRR WARRRRRSSSSSSSS

    Every thing you do or say or see is IN YOUR FACE your playing a STAR WARS game....

    I think they are struggling with subs. I know I will probably not renew mine...it is a fun game, just not for a 15/mo subscription. I think I am semi burnt out on that particular MMO combat mechanic.

    Said it all along - new games HAVE TO BE free to play and not just a wading pool kiddie area or one slight quest.

    Give them access to all levels and 70% or 100% of the areas - give them a cash shop to buy goodies or adventure packs - give the OPTION of subscriptions once they see the game and like it.

    Any other model and ppeople just won't jump at it.
