I hear Steam is having one of their summer blowouts June 19th Heads up if you are looking for something - I tend to only hear about them AFTER they happen.
Bioshock Infinate (want this one the most) Skyrim (on the list - just not hot on it) Dirt 3 (love Rallie games, but most make me want to puke) Brothers in Arms (I think Hell's Highway was the latest)
Skyrim was pretty, reminded me of The DDO land you brought us to where you always had to wear the stupid glasses. It's this HUGE world. This is a single player game so it felt restrictive to me, but it was a fun couple of day running around playing.
Bioshock Infinite was fun. I enjoyed the story. Again single player, so there seems to be a limited amount of game. I enjoyed that which I played. Storyline was cool. I would buy this before Skyrim. Interesting side note, I have a friend who was part of the soundtrack for this game, it was fun to hear him and his band.
I am not much of a single player gamer.... so this is all with a grain of salt.
You can't go wrong with Civilization V and it's expansions. The game is endlessly replayable and each of the expansions adds a significant new variable to the game. I've only ever played single player but there is a multiplayer game and play-by-email (I think). I often play it in Vermont when I've only got the laptop and limited or no internet access.
....and this is no $hit. Care to guess who's electric hot water heater just S T B?
Just when you think you're going to hit it, and nooooooooooo now I get to take a day off and fix the heater. Goodbye Bioshock, hello two Rheem 240 VAC single phase heating elements, and hot water heating element wrench.
I guess the good thing is I can do this my self - and Home Depot (the other Rat Bastards) has 26 elements on the shelf (Thank you Walmart for pioneering real time inventory management)
So I know right down to what aisle and shelf they are on and inventory quantity... but DAMN IT... aaaaaarrrrgggggggggg 🤦
That sucks. Our water heater started leaking last year about this time. I took the opportunity to replace it with something much more efficient but it was still a painfully large dent in the wallet.
Think of it this way, your hot water heater will still need to be replaced in October, but the steam sales won't still be active then. Now, with that info, which is the priority?
Still leaking, plumber said after so so long with the same element (22+ years) the bung and element form a symbiotic partnership and warp together over time. When I muscled the old element out - the threads got FUBAR'd and now I have a slow drip at about one drip every 15 seconds and there is no recovering from that. He comes with new heater tomorrow.

Steam Summer Sale 2014 start date today: Game discounts galore for two weeks June 19-28
(with an encore June 30 so the rumor mill says)
Eurogamer has also confirmed this news, "Don't eat for eight days because on 19th June the Steam Summer Sale begins. It will run until 28th June with an encore that pushes it to 30th June."
