Step 1. EA Allows Deactivation of Securom

Maybe someday they will stop using it all together. Funny considering I looked at Mirror's Edge and Spore last night wishing I could try them out but refusing due to Securom.

Upon futher review I see this is just allowing you to free up one of your installs. It doesn't allow you to get rid of Securom.

So I guess I am down to "Hip Fuck You!" from my former "Hip Hip Fuck You!" To EA.

Maybe some day they will get that Securom does nothing more than piss off their customers. The pirates still pirate and the people like me who purchase their games, won't do that anymore.

There have been a couple Steam sales that I passed by because of Securom. I really wanted to buy them, too.

Count me for SecuRom avoidance.....

I installed Crysis Warhead. I did not realize at first it had SR. I said WTF... I played the game and LOVE it.
Crysis Wars is like BF2142 in some ways. I think it is really fun though I have not played as much as I like.

Anyway... such is life...
