I thought it might help if we had a thread that explained various parts of the game. It may or may not help others.
A couple of things I learned recently.
In the class selection menu, if there is a star beside a class name, then it is required to meet the goals of that part of the map. So, if you see a star and 1 guy, chances are slim you are going to move forward. It is also smart to team up with this class, so you can help them achieve the goal. I sense some teamwork coming on.....
Most classes have deployable. They are very important. Think of it as commander, but instead of one guy, almost everyone has a chance to help.
Spec Ops has the death from above abilities. The smoke grenade calls in an air strike. It is much cooler than commander in BF2 because you actually have to get to the place you want bombed. I do not know if the smoke grenade can be seen by the enemy.
Spec Ops also has artillery. It requires a deployed cannon, plus a laser pointer to call out the location. Again, it means you are exposed when calling artillery as your laser pointer can be seen by the enemy. When you deploy the canon, the first left click places it. Once you've done that, then you can rotate it until it is oriented towards the direction you want, then left click again to finish the placement.
So far, all the deployable I have used must be placed in an occupied territory, outlined in green.
That's all from me...
