Ok Atomm, its all setup and ready for you tonite. We're testing a ping compensation wedge, so it may seem choppy for a few minutes and then settle down. When you get there just go to map voting and select the dropdown to 'iCTF GR Style' 🙂 Pick a map, and vote. That will set your mutators. We can make adjustments on the fly. I'll be there at 9est. Not sure how many maps are there from map packs, we'll see when we get there, hehe. I just hope the redirect server is behaving tonite.
If you want to do this every Thurs nite, then email me for passwords and you can get it ready 🙂 Also I'm changing the server on 3/7 so the IP *may* change. Let you know if it does.
woo, I was afraid you guys had stopped running UT games, i know i only played like 2 or 3 games with you but im ready to start again....i've been needing my UT fix as well
there's a heavy metal club meeting every thursday here at my university from 8 to 10, but i can go for an hour and make it in time, so yeah ill be there
its a student run club/organization/thing. I'm at UCF (u. of central florida). We just sit there and listen to metal people bring in and talk about upcoming concerts etc..
this week its video oriented so everyone will bring in videos of bands, im bringing my machine head and rammstein dvds
Actually I didnt start it, i just started going 2 or 3 meetings ago i've seen 10-15ish people the times i've gone, but they have said its been packed before. As for other schools, hell if i know

I had fun as well and thought that I did ok for my first time playing UT. I know I would have kicked Bubba's ass had he been there 😉 I also had to leave a bit earlier than I would have normally.
Sorry about UT guys. I got in late then just was not in the mood. I had to get up early so only played a round or two. Next week I will be into it a lot more as it should be Jailbreak, my 2nd favorite game type. I am more into weaps play than IG. No one ever wants to play my favorite type, Assault. THAT is fun but not many people into it. I do not get it. I like the push type game where you have goals and move on to the end result.
I am siked for tonight. Will be the first full tryout of my voice control set up.
If you are curious I used to use Game commander all the time in games, it is really cool. I finally got around to setting it up for BF2. I also got DocJon into it. he found a cool free program that does the same thing. If for any weird reason you guys want to try it we can help you out.
Anyone know any Windows programmers? I have one very small utility I would love. I just want a small application that toggles the Mic Boost on/off when I press a certain key. Well I want it off normally but on while the key is pressed. Should be easy to write I would think. 😉

Yah, see why I didn't want to install JB for one night? You guys are averaging so far about 1.25 hrs playing time 😮 I admit, the mutators take me way outta my element. Floating not dodging, lol. Er why not try to promote an Assault nite or a JB nite. I'd suggest you need at least 8 or more players to enjoy either tho. It would also be kinda neat if we could get a 16player Onslaught going too.
Next week I'll also post my new TS along with my Ventrillo IP's so we can get together on one page. Maybe with voice, people would have stayed longer.
I was having a difficult time with UT dropping back to windows every other sec or so. I have no idea why it did that, except it went away when I left to go TDM later. Damn annoying.

Haha, easy for you to say. We've moved that server several times over the last year to several diff cities and providers trying to get the best ping/performance for the buck as well as trying to find the best locations for our diverse team. So far its been in NY, Chicago, NY, Dallas, Chicago, and again in NY. This will be the first time in GA, crossing fingers!
Everytime you have to start from scratch, and uploading all those CTF and TAM maps alone takes a considerable amount of time. We may hate GA and opt to move it again, so who knows 🙂 Its a work in progress and even with admins helping, seems like I always have something to upload and get setup. At least we are passionate about our UT 😀
