Whats happened to your 42Mod for BFV?

    Sorry if this is a bad place to ask this question. But i just recently found your site thinking this Mod would never see the light of day 🙁

    Last i heard it was 98% finished and i have to know why it was never finished? I am from a British Clan called FTA our website is http://www.ftaclan.net/ we are ranked in the top 10 in Europe on Clanbase and have been playing battlefield since BF42.

    Then i was playing BFV and waiting for this mod because i still love the WW2 gameplay.

    We play bf2 now but i still miss the simpler game play of BFV, So please tell me your going to release this WW2 MOD for BFV. 8)

    Thanks for stopping by Kali. I am not involved directly in the work on this mod, but it is continuing and I think something is going to be happening with it fairly soon. I'll let someone who knows more, say more if they want. 🙂

    At least it sounds as if this project has not been totally abandoned.

    I can only hope you will release this to the comunity as i think it will be a great Mod.

    Kali,

    The team disappeared when BF2 came out, but |GRB| Raze has been working through the remaining problems. The plan is to give all of the work back to the community. It's 99% done. Raze has really worked hard and we hate to see this just sit here.

    Keep an eye out here. We will have some news on the front page soon.

    This is great news and i really look forward to getting this MOd and playing it.

    The Mod, concerning the "Original" set of maps are complete. It's the later add-on maps where the problems still exist, such as Battle of Britian, Coral Sea, and Liberation of Caen. They are still playable, but have certain bugs that I am unable nor have time to fix.

    I dont personally care about those three maps, I doubt that anyone else will really care at this point also 🙂

    Cant you just realease it with out those 3 Maps? :wink:

    All i really care about are all the originol BF2 maps and the Mod itself.
    I mean if people care that much they can mess with it if they want to :roll: Or just put a disclaimer for those three maps.

    Please realease it as it is that sounds just fine to me 😀

    Im sure that with all the maps that have been done that thats enough for most people and im sure it will be most appreciated just as it is 🙂

    At least i will be very happy. So please realease this baby 8)

    I forgot to ask if you guys have some kind of idea when you will be releasing the WW2 Mod for BFV?

    And were should i be looking for that information,
    Will it be anounced on your front page?

    Is this going to be months from now or in the very near future?

    Sorry for bugging you with all these questions and im sure this is not high on your priority list.

    If you can give me some sort of idea it would be greatly appreciated.

    I always use the Viagra FTP client to upload 😄

    That and a little high blood presure seems to do the trick.

    Get it up please before BFV is all but forgotten.

    How big is this baby im very curious, File size i mean 😀

    I think the mod came in at 700MB, but that could be the compressed version. The server is fairly small if I remember correctly.

    Raze was going to upload the server files to our new BFV server, then upload the final Release Candidate for us to do one last quick test. Once all of that is set, we will get a bunch of screenshots and start promoting the release. It will be a two week timeframe. Sorry to make you wait, but we need a little time to let everyone know we are still around.

    Yes i think its important to get the news out there and let people know what the MOD is all about and all the hard work that went into it.

    Are you going to be hoasting the download or are you getting help from sites like Gamershell or other sites that over MOD downloads?

    I think it deserves as much publicity as you can get.

    Two weeks is nothing as ive been waiting a very long time for this.

    I want to get it to all of the sites for download. That's part of the reason we want to take two weeks. That gives us enough time to make sure everyone has it ready to go.

    If you have any suggestions on locations to post the files, please let us know. We've never had to post stuff, so we may not think of all the possible places to post or promote this.....

    I see an IP listed in the site header for the new WWII Mod server. but i don't see it running yet...

    Give me some warning, before you fire it up. I have to load BFV again and do the silly patch thingy again 😛

    Just a reminder the following maps have issues.

    Battle of Britian - for some reason germans have spawns on British side.
    Coral Sea - multiplayer co-op has a crash bug.
    Liberation of Caen has major lag with or without over/undergrowth. I did not upload these to our server.

    I think you guys should have a small tournament to mark the release. After it has been tested of course. That may draw some attention to the mod. Just a thought.

    And i took European FTA players to the European Crackclan not the North America Crack Clan they have a seperate European Clan.

    They have a North American chapter, that part i dont play with.
