I'm not playing WoW, but let me see if I understand. People who have already horded $$ in the game will give it to you if you pay them in real world currancy, right?

I think you have it right. I'm guessing that people might be able to make some serious $$ if they wanted to cash out their character. Just proves that people will pay for anything if it saves them some time. Maybe not so much time as effort - people are lazy.

my nephew and i used to play alot of diablo 2, he made a few bucks on ebay selling items

WoW is one game that will not allow the transfer of characters. I was thinking about burning my copy of the game and filming it. Think we could turn it into something cool? :-)

Serious, lighter fluid, box, cd case, cd, manual and all. :-)

It's a fun game, but I'm not happy with the design and how it isolates you from your buds if you are not with in 5 levels of each other. It's also a life sucking demon and I would rather work on my CCNP and make real life money once I get it. If I keep playing WoW, there is no way I could get my CCNP.

My friend Scott told me how some guy was selling Level 60 character accounts or something for hundreds? 15 bucks a month is just way too steep.. I look at these pay to play games like this.. for 15 bucks a month there had better be material to equal the amount of an expansion every 2 months.. Now true you may not experience everything in the game or at least a great majority of the stuff for a few months.. but after that.. then what? It's just not worth it.. and I think supporting these kinds of games are only going to set a trend for future games to be pay to play monthly.. so as much as I'd like to fiddle with WoW after seeing it on my friends machine.. I'll have to pass..

I think that there were people selling their Ultima Online characters for $ a few years ago. I guess that there were a few people that bit on those, especially if the characters were high on the food chain. Let's face it - money buys success, for the lazy people that is...

Yea, selling UO was big business. But, they allowed it. They even offered a one time deal to change the charters name. So, someone could sell their account and the next guy could rename the characters.

Everclear, it is a great game visually and there are fun moments, but play an open ended game is never a good thing. I love CRPG's, but a story without an ending is not a very good story. I guess it's time for me to finally finish up Baldur's Gate II and load up Neverwinter Nights. I've had that game since the week it came out and never loaded it. A little demo called BF42 came out and I never looked back. :-)
