Anyone have the GeForce 7800GS AGP card?

Anyone have the GeForce 7800GS AGP card?


I may be getting an upgrade from work so wanted to get the best card I can get for the 300-400-ish price range. I still have AGP and really am not ready to update to PCIE just for this so AGP is preferred. If you know of a PCIE card that is about the same price range but really kicks ass, please mention it, I may upgrade later.

The Verto GeForce 7800GS Video Card, 8x AGP, 256MB GDDR3 version is what I am looking at. I need to get this at CompUSA. This seems to be around $350 there.

I just want some real user advice as you guys play the same game I do 😉

What video cards do you guys use, what do they currently go for price wise and what rez and settings do you run BF2 in?
Also what basic system stats are you running?

I am also open to the ATI cards of course. Maybe the X850XT?

Please post ASAP as I need to know by Friday morning.

ATI 9600 - Not sure that they actually still sell this one 😉 run settings in low to medium with many of the "effects" off.

I'd have one if you gave me $400. Until then, sorry, no dice. That reminds me, I need to take the second DVD drive out of my current tower or get a more powerful power supply before I make any upgrades of this sort.

Thanks Sarge but I currently own an ATI X800-XL. It is much better than the 9600. I wanted to get something that would be even better 😉
