Yeah well you try attaching a laser pointer to your cat who like to chase the laser pen, it's no where near the hours fo enjoyment you think will be had by all, it's much closer to a red cross blood drive.

Hey now! I remember reading that during WW2, the US had plans to attach incendiary charges to bats, release them over Japanese cities, and using a timer, detonate the charges while they were roosting during the day. What if we were to attach fricken' LASER BEAMS to cats, set them loose in an enemy city, then trigger them? The cats would go nuts chasing the LASER BEAMS around, running this way and that, destroying everything in their path!

    MUHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure, so you'd have to use a remote activation or timer. We were going to do it for the bats, I'm sure we can do it for the cats!

Why am I picturing all of this as part of a Simpson's episode? Screams, sirens, cats screeching in anger. . .

    (Homer Simpson)
    Mmmm, BLOOD BATH!
    (/Homer Simpson)

But it wasn't the Simpsons that did it first!

Despite many explanations and showing of detailed plans, my wife says NO.

No kitties with laser beams on their heads
    No laser kitties.

not sure why but she ceased to talk to me when I proposed Atomm's alcohol idea.

DUUUUUUUDE! No progress, or trip to an ER, was ever made by consulting with a wife! That's what GARAGE WORKSHOPS are for!

"What? Oh. . . I'm, uhh, adjusting the timing on the engine. That's why I need the 1.2 gigawatt laser, they stopped using strobes for that. . . nah, Jinxie isn't bothering me, leave her here. . ."

Well she nixed my idea of a mini-nuke plant in the basement for educational purposes, but I did get her to agree to consider it if I can get the proper permits from the NRC. I mean come on I have 3+ years of college physics under my belt.

Though she did let me give her old Imac a lobotemy this weekend, I will let you know once I hard wire the ATX PSU to the Apple Proprietary power unit.

Never considered a laser though... maybe a small 1 or 2 Megawatt
