Hey guys. Need to buy some complete machine for here at work. It seems Dell just ain't as cheap as they once were. And certainly they are no where near as good at cust support. We used to always stick to dell because it was cheap and easy. I won't go HP from back experiences with them and Comcrap (now they merged I can only imagine how bad it is). Any suggestions of a company to order full rigs. I know I can build them, but well I just don't want to go there.
Cheap good machines

#2 I still think Dell is the way to go because of their configuration management. If you start buying another brand, the rules change and then you have two sets of rules to follow.
If you must change, then I suggest Alienware. 😈 -

Yeppers.... hehehehehe -
#5 Yah, I'd still go Dell too. Not much else left except maybe Gateway, and those are cheap as hell junk. -
#6 I believe there ARE others who put together machines and sell them. I don't know names as I'd never buy one when I can put them together myself, but Maximum PC is always running ads and reviewing high-end computers from various venders. They may also sell mid-range and low-end machines.
Perhaps a little Google-fu is in order? -
#7 Yeah I know all these routes... I just was hoping maybe one of you had diverged from the Dell route. I will let you all know if I diverge or not. -

Well DUH! Didn't you see my smilie? 😈

I know Dell can be a pain, but HP and Lenovo are the only companies even coming close to competing. -
#9 Thanks Atomm, I knew this, just hoping for a xmas miracle... and you failed me dammit :-) -
#10 ive used Monarch Computers for most my pc part orders on my last 2 pc builds, they have a custom Hornet pc that was featured in magazines, but i know they do other pc builds. i havent ordered a full comp from them but i recommend lookin into them. -

I've heard of these guys. They work with small formfactor rigs a lot.
