I wasn't too impressed. At this point in time, the only thing standing in the way of such things is price, and it still stands in the way. We won't see that anytime soon.
So, when do the cheap LCD's that are printed by dot-matrix printers come along? I was promised cheap, flexible LCD displays! And flying cars. . .
I will say I didn't really care then I looked the other day and well it's kinda cool. But I am not sure it's the big deal it's claimed to be... basically I think it's alot like the first time I saw OS X, it's cool but soon it's not a big deal at all
I thought the whole multiple touch aspect was cool. I mean, could you imagine playing an RTS with that?
Doc, I know what you mean, but I remember back in my early days of college, circa 1992, sitting in my basic computer class discussing this really cool device called a WORM drive. Of course, we knew there was no way we would ever be able to afford one of those really cool $10,000 drives.
You may know the WORM drive aka Write Once Read Many times as a CD Burner. Now days, you can pick them up for $5.
Eventually, everything gawd awful expensive will either become cheaper and gain mass or die out.

HAHAH I remember WORM drives. Yep those were the early days of CD burners 😉 Then again I actually worked with punch cards my first year at college in the mid 80's. Well they phased them out a year or so before but I still played with them. I remember staying really late working on my COBOL programming on VT100 terminals and sending my output to a huge printer that was so big and loud it had its own room 😉
I remember 8" floppy disks. You remember or use them? hell I worked with most types of computer media during my career. 8" floppies, disk packs, reel to reel tapes of course. tape cartridges... Man I am dated 😉
you are right Atomm. You can get a 42" 1080P TV for $1500 now days. Holy Sh&^!! That was 5 times that just a year or 5 ago. Okay it is not top of the line but really good still. 😉
