Cool Firefox Tweak. (Any Build)

    The following will greatly increase the speed of your Firefox browser by enabling it to conduct multiple searches, if I loved Firefox before, this puts it in stellar class now.

    Plus it makes our site scream... short lines no waiting.
    Check it out.

    1.Type "about:config" in FIREFOX address bar.

    2. Do the following changes:

    Change "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

    Change "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

    Change "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to "4" or "8"**.

    3. Create a new entry by clicking on right mouse button, select "New-> Integer". The name to enter must be "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and the value must be "0".

    **Start with 8 and decrease if your browser seems unstable.It shouldn't do though.I increased mine as far as 30 before I got bored but backtracked it to 8 to ensure stability in the long run.

    FYI, I posted this to our local lan site. Someone there said it can lag out gaming on a shared internet environment. I don't have to share mine, except on Friday nights with Raze, so I'm not worried. :-)

    Firefox 1.03 is out now.

    Discovered a new trick. You can set Firefox to open multiple tabs on startup each having it's own start page by doing the following:

    Tools ----> Options -----> General -----> window for homepage location(s)

    type in the pages you want separated by a bar - "|" (shift )

    for example. http://www.cnn.com | http://www.gamersradio.com | etc.....
