I had a cool wallpaper I thought I'd share. I'm not much of a Star Wars fan at all anymore, as George Lucas has utterly burned my fandom to the ground and pissed on the ashes, but this is too cool not to share. It's in 2048 x 768 format, so it works well for my dual-monitors.
Just as a warning I run a WP site and had to completly lock it down last week when I got hammered by spammers, not that the joomla has been much better for us.
The spammers that hit our Joomla site were using a third party module. Joomla itself doesn't do comments. That alone helps make it secure.
As for WP, the default is to have all comments moderated. I've left it this way and never been let down. :-) It also comes with a great spam fighting tool in Askimet. Joomla has nothing of the sort.
Does anyone know of a good picture hosting option that won't crop even HUGE pictures? I'm thinking that when I deal with large pics like this, maybe I shouldn't be looking for PICTURE hosting, but just regular file hosting. . .but I don't know anything about that.
This pic is nearly half a meg. This whole thread has a bunch of big pics uploaded to it. I'd like to find a way to offload the bandwidth and storage if anyone knows of one.
Flickr would probably be your best bet. I know you can host pictures on google via Picasa as well.
This is my work desktop. It's been resized by photobucket. I use a different picture for the right and the left sides instead of stretching one all the way across. The top picture is the left and the bottom the right.
