Could Not Find CD Issue?

    Ok so the LAN is underway when I left we had about 16 people wit hmachine's so far with more on the way.. One guy however apparently has an issue with his CD Drive it seems... You can copy and install BF 1942 and other files normally.. But once you go to open the application up.. it says it can't find the CD and asks for one to be inserted... we've reinstalled twice now.. Any ideas? Feel bad for the kid.. it's a nice looking rig.. and he's come a long way.. I mean a looooong way... should of seen what he had last year... yeesh!.. Just wanna help him out.. thanks..

    Only one thoguht, Clean the cd?? I had a dirty cd did the same thing

    I think Breaky or LoU had this happen, but for the life of me I cannot remember how it was resolved.

    I would start with making sure his CD Drive is being detected correctly in Windows.

    Has a no-cd patch been tried?

    You might try completely removing battlefield, running a registry cleaner (such as regcleaner or regseaker) to get rid of any registry entries that might linger about and then doing another install.

    Other than that I can't think of anything.
