Duke Nukem Forever is ready for release

For the x-box 360 🙂

I wonder how close the 360 is to a computer, and how much more work needs to be done before the PC version is released. I guess the primary difference is allowing for the many kinds of video cards/audio cards/misc hardware. . .and the keyboard/mouse controls.

The slashdot article said it wasn't Forever, but Duke Nukem 3D, not that I know what the difference is......

Either way, Forever must refer to how long it is going to take them to finish it.....

Just to clarify, the FACEPALM above was for what I missed, not you not knowing it. Not knowing a game isn't a FACEPALM offense. . .knowing it well and still missing it, is. In my own defense, I have been expecting "Duke Nukem Forever" for 10 years now, so I'm kind of primed to see it 🙂

"DN Forever" was announced to be in development in April of 1997. Wow. To put this in perspective, here are things that have been released since "Duke Nukem Forever" was announced:

Every version of Unreal
Quake 2 and above
Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista were released
DVD players were introduced, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray were introduced, and Blu-Ray won the format war

The jaw-dropping part isn't that it's not released, the jaw-dropping part is that it is still SERIOUSLY IN DEVELOPMENT.

After 11 years, I imagine the Interns get to work on it and they keep teasing us that it's in "serious" development.....
