Email in Space

Interesting story about how email is accomplished. Seems like a rediculous waste, I think my mailserver would do a better job with less bandwidth.

I read the same thing today.

You know, it's funny, but Fidonet had store and forward email capabilities in the early 90's. Researchers in the field, aka middle of nowhere, would send email. It would wait until a satellite was overhead, then send the email on. From there, the satellite would hold onto it, then once it got over a land based station, send it on. From there it would work it's way over Fidonet to the university.

Microsoft, it's like going 90mph in reverse wearing a blindfold.......
