This is really cool. I didn't even know it existed. The home keeps a constant 71 degrees as long as the outside is within 50 degree's either way. It uses a special property of Southern Yellow Pine and a certain way of building the house to accomplish this.

The only downside I see is this system wouldn't work in Texas or Oklahoma. Due to the nature of the soil, the water tables and the movement of the underlying rock foundation, you can not have a basement in this area. If you do, chances are it is cracked, moved and has constant seepage. It's a shame, because this would be a cool thing to build.....
