Failure to launch

    DAMN so close yet so far away.....
    The new PS and video card arrived -w00t
    but the PS has a 24 pin mother board connector but my motherboard has a 20 pin connector.

    Searching Newegg I find this:

    But the description is "StarTech 6" 20 pin ATX Power Supply to 24 pin Motherboard Adapter"
    worded just the opposite of what I need.

    OK to use or do I need to keep on looking?

    On an antec and nearly every connector I have seen in years the last 4 just snap off. I have seen adapters though.

    got out the magnifying glass and sure enough the last 4 pins are on a hinge, a little pressure and the swing away from the rest of the body - and on the inside of the hinge there is a score line so you can cut them off clean.

    I'll attempt to reinstall tomorrow, nitie' nite time now.
