Favorite CD/DVD burner not named Nero

So Nero used to be THE shit. A few years back, they started getting bloated, and they haven't shown any inclination to change in all that time. Recently, I found that I can't get my install of Nero to properly burn audio CD's. It fails every time. So I was thinking I might try one of the many free DVD burning prgs ppl are using.

Right now, I'm trying ImgBurn and CDburnerXP. CDB-XP seems easy and approachable, but I found some issues pretty quickly, like the inability to burn faster then 1x. Can't figure out how to fix that quirk.

ImgBurn looks OK, and has a bunch of walk-thru's on their site. I've had success the couple times I've tried it.

Anyone here have a burner utility you like - one not named Nero?

I used to use CDB-XP, but there was some issues. Its a shame about Nero because it used to the the best out there. But like everything the bloat made it useless. I still can't believe there isn't a very easy/reliable gui built into windows for burning. I know you can burn but it sucks and is not reliable.

So, you're still using Nero then?

No I was using a version of Sonic Delux, nice and easy. Its a Dell OEM cd, so it won't install anymore. So nothing right now, I don't burn many CDs.

I've used ImgBurn for a little while now and it seems to work pretty well. The process for burning an audio CD was different from many that I've used in that you need to create a .cue file and burn that, but once I figured out how to do that, it worked well.
