One of my complaints about Tabbed browsing has been the inability to use alt-tab to jump between programs. I use this all the time when working on Internet stuff.

Today, I accidentaly found out I can use ctrl-tab to switch between tabs in Firefox. I believe I heard angels sing when it happened.......

    Thought I would share.....

I know I'll get flamed for this... but ctrl tab also switches tabs in IE7, which I actually use... but not because it's better than FF, because I'm lazy. And all you had to do is ask, I'd have told you that. ;P

Moosedog, it's one of those things that you never think to ask why.

It never occurred to me to think, hey, I wonder if there is a way to jump between tabs using two keys.... Forrest for the tree's I guess....

Now, I just need to work it into Mouse Gestures and I'll be all set! I won't even have to push two keys, now that's laziness.....

I use Fire Gestures 1.1.2 and my NEXT TAB is UR (Up Right) and my PREVIOUS TAB is UL (Up Left)

You can also configure the scroll wheel (when cursor is over tab bar) to scroll forward and backward through tabs with Fire Gestures.

    If that helps.

That's a cool idea. I do up for new tab, down for new page, left for back and right for forward. I'll have to add the scroll wheel trick into the mix.

I do miss mouse gestures. They're cool.

See funny thing, I always find new stuff out about my Dad. He'll tell some story that I had never heard and I'll say, Dad; you never told me that! He says, you never asked. Well, how the heck am I suppose to know to ask an odd question like that??? So, yeah... I know. =)
