    I upgraded from XP to Win 7, so if you are running Vista, this might not apply.

    Install Ventrillo in Windows 7, then copy from the Users down in the Ventrillo2.ini on the old location and paste it at the end of the new file.

    Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Ventrilo

    Windows 7
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Ventrilo

    Remove the following line from the new file.

    VetFile=C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Ventrilo\default.vet

    Really? It was way faster for me to just install vent and type in the server address and password. I did it 4 times in the past month 🙂

    Some things are just not worth going through all of that 🙂

    Or is there something I am missing? Did I mess up my admin rights in there not copying that file?

    I grabbed the server info, my user info (which I couldn't totally remember) as well as the custom volume settings I have for a few people. I also have one person squelched.

    It was easy to do, but I thought I'd share. If someone connects to more than one Server, I could see it be a time saver.

    Oh I forgot about the volume settings. Now that is a good reason to do that, thanks for the info.
