I've been wanting to do it forever, but I managed to talk myself out of it every single time, but not this time.....
I ordered the new IPhone GS for me and the wife....
She's really gotten into facebook and loves to take pictures of Ellie. I figured she'll enjoy it more than me, but I still wanted one too.
The final straw for me was it looks like my 25% discount is still in place an will work with the Iphone. It covers one of the data plans, so I didn't feel like I was getting too screwed.
Now wait until the first bill. It could drop off and I'll be pissed, but I'll be pissed with a new IPhone.... 😛
I have to admit, its nice. My wife has one and I spend alot of time playing with it. We bought Peggle for it and that and the Labrynth game take up too much time. But its nice to have web access without firing up this 675Watt rig.
I can't buy one for me, because I will not give ATT the business. $30/mo just for the ability to own the thing.
...Some day I may break down, but I do love my palm treo.
I just got a Palm Pre. I think it is way nicer than the iPhone. It is not perfect and native software will take some time but the way it multitasks is awesome. I waited 6 months for it and it was worth it. Sprints' data plans are way better than AT&T . I pay 40/month less than the same AT&T plan. WebOS is simply unique and very cool. It is linux based and uses web standards like html, css and javascript. I also love having a real keyboard. I have an iPod Touch and perfer the way this works. I support iPhones at work. I also am not an iTunes fan but the pre will sync any non DRM content with it. ITunes thinks it is an iPod.
They came in today. Haven't done a lot with it, but what I have done has been fun.
So far, I really like it, but I still freaking hate Itunes. How can a company make such a great device, yet turn out some of the worst software to go with it.
I have a blackberry from work and I definitely like the IPhone better.

Ok, after a few more days, I have to say this is the single most coolest device I have ever owned. If fact, it's one of the best handheld game machines I've ever seen. It entertains me and the 4 year old.... Then again, it's the same thing, huh? 😛
