It is not bad also having the iPhone features but only 16GB is VERY limiting, for me at least. If they ever add a HD to it and give me my 80 or 160 GB then I may think about it.

the iPhone is the most overhyped thing to come along in some time. It does have some cool things do not get me wrong but it is lacking on many areas. maybe version 3 or so...

I am personally waiting to see what the Google Gphone will be like.

    Nothing much. I have 5 or 6 PDA's 😉

I am in love with my Treo and it can out perform the iPhone in almost every area except screen size.
The browser on the iPhone is really slick as well I have to admit, better than the Treo's, but is still lacking in some ways. thought I have been playing with a free open source browser called Opera mini. it i snot bad actually 🙂

That is cool as I said. It is just limited to only 16GB. If that is enough space for you then that would be a very cool replacement. I just said that 16GB is not nearly large enough for me, thats all. Don't get your buns in a twist 😉

BTW I have a 5th gen 80GB Ipod so do not hate them 😛

Along with the announcement of this, they dropped the iPhone $200. Ouch! Early adopters got hosed!

They are also pressuring the TV guys to lower their prices to $.99 from $1.99.

Yea but did you see they are giving a $100 credit to the early adopters!!! I think this is a great way to create brand loyalty. I for one like the iPods but don't like iTunes and therefore went with a Creative Zen:M 60GB. Works with Linux, Mac and of course Windows. Ppl rate the screen and supported formats AND battery life better than the iPod.

the Creative players ROCK. I had 3 or 4 of them. the ONLY reason I bought an ipod was it was the only one offering the 80GB model and I can get accessories for it. I could never get anything cool for any other player I ever had even if it was better.

BTW i do not use iTunes at all man. I have not one AAC file on my iPod, all MP3's most I ripped myself. I use a cool free program called yamipod that I keep on the ipod itself. I plug the iPod in, it mounts as a drive, I run this program and can transfer all my stuff to/from it easily.
