Alrighty, well something happened during a fan upgrade (think maybe I snapped the core, but somehow the mb seems to be shot too) and I am now on the hook to replace his MB and Proc. I have $200->$250 to buy a new MB and proc. It has to be ATX, IDE, AGP and take ddr2100.

Anyone out there have suggestions for MB/CPU/sellers?? I personally am bias to ASUS and AMD but this board that fried was an asus and I think I am starting to wonder if they are just too damn sensitive. I have never broke a core and I have never fried a board b4, so I blame it on ASUS. Thanks

Also, this guy does no gaming, mainly internet Pr0n, and MS word, so I don't need it high end, but I would hesitate to use a duron or celeron.

Personally, I like http://www.newegg.com the most. I've always had good luck from them and their prices are some of the best around.

I have it between them, directron, and bzboyz.com. I have used bzboyz a handful fo times, and well you get the stuff and you get it cheap but in my experience they are slow and there cust service doesn't seem to understand anything.
