Should I be concerned that the power has gone out 4-6 times today, for just a few seconds, and that following 2 of them, there was a loud explosion one second later?

Freakin' po-dunk one-horse Hooterville has to be all uppity and pretend like they have electricity. Maybe they should hire some of the big-city guys to rig it up it for them. . .or at least stop using dynamite to insulate the transformers. It gets kinda hot 'round these parts.

Loud explosion might have been a transformer biting it. As for 4-6 outages, hell on a computer, eiter unplug it or make sure its on a real good ups.

Aahhh, it's electronic Darwinism. It'll only blow up the WEAK components. Obviously, when my old system blew up this spring, ALL the components were weak. . . 😄

I'll be scoping the local deals this week. Obviously, I can't just unplug it when it storms anymore, as there hadn't been rain for hours when the last few outages occurred.

Don't believe that. I know it was a joke but you can lose very well built parts as easily as weak parts when it comes to electric surges

You can discard everything before the smiley, unless you're looking for a laugh.
