OK, so my Harddrive died. I put in a new harddrive, installed windows clean, new installation of BFV, there is nothing on the new harddrive from the old harddrive. Yet somehow, I went into BFV and Lou and Scott were still in the colors we set them to be using the buddy coloring. How could this be?? I wasn't the color I always was but then I realized that I changed my name and maybe that was why I wasn't orange. We were also playing on a server I don't think I have ever played on. What made my buddy list coloring work?? Was it Lou or Scott somehow porting it to me because I was on their list??
BFV is part of Windows now (that's why it works so well), and because Microsoft keeps a super-secret profile on you, it was updated the second you logged on and kept your buddy list.
