Terrestrial radio on the net

OK there is a show on Sunday nights that several terrestrial radio stations also web cast.
Anyone know how to save the web casts as a file to be listened to later?

Two options that I know of.
There is a free plug-n called FreeCorder. I have not used it and I think it is for I.E. only.

this may do what you want just fine and is free.

What I personally use is a program called TotalRecorder. I record a radio feed at work recording talk shows all weekend. I then listen to them when I have time. It has full scheduling etc.. I bought this and it as well worth the $18.

Of course you will have to have the stream already running for these to record it.

There was a plugin that I don't remember the name of that was for winamp

I don't have anything I want to record, but TotalRecorder is spot on. If I come up with something, I'll defiantly get the pro version.

Freecorder3 is a NO-GO
though it works, (now for FF too) you have to select a station form their list of stations / feeds and the stations I want are not in their list.

They have a create your own feed but it can not see JAVA style pop up players (which these stations are on)

was a no-go for freeplayer3 in create your own player.

I know part of my sound drive allows for a record what I hear, and somehow this could flow to one of these plugins.

TotalRecorder NAILED IT!

I downloaded the pro version (trial for now so it injects a 1sec noise burst every 60 sec....) but it's unlimited trial and the PRO version ($38.00) has a scheduler so leave the PC on set it for midnight EST set the station set the duration and BINGO.

I messed with the scheduler set it ahead 5 min to record for 5 min and it worked fine.... will now try to capture what I want and report success or not when done.

The standard version has the scheduler, I use it all the time 🙂
There is nothing in the pro version you should need over the standard one.

Ok cool, if the scheduler works Sunday night I may just buy the standard version.

Thanks for the input Paladin, schedule worked fine I divided the cast in to two - one hour recordings and then to shut down the PC - all went well.
