Upgrades Pt2

Sorry I didn't get in last night, the dreaded video lag reappeared. :-(

I broke down and downloades a few benchmark programs this morning.

Anti-ailiasing was sending corrupt data. also a linear mip map 2d was not working. !!!?!?!?

The benchmark program showed my memory and CPU were performing to spec and sound as well.

I broke down and bought me a new Vid card. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:


512MB of non video skipping glory!

Jumped into a map and within 1.5 maps I ranked 2 times and got 2 unlocks. Gained 5 or 6 new metals one of which was for a helo.. :twisted: was able to finally get in and arround a helo without the video getting jerky. I found that I love to flagrape. :twisted:

So, what were the programs called?

Also, does this mean you had a bad video card or was it something else causing these problems?

I am glad you can finally play. :-) We had a good time last night on CTF. Our pick up group was working together very well and using VoIP perfectly. We even had a young lady on our squad who kicked butt. :-)

i want to say 3d winbench 2000 and passmark were a couple. Don't know if it was the video card or possibley an incompatability with the video and my mobo? I do not know for sure. I did try 2 sets of drivers with no luck.

not to mention my computer is now a pound lighter. sheesh!
