It's an encrypted file i think that is used to write some NC code I use at work and I want to open it up and edit it but I have no Idea where to begin?

You need a Hex editor. The problem is editing with a Hex Editor can be a guessing game and it's not easy.

not to mention that a hash key is typically used and that pretty much makes it impossible. 🙁
