Pop-rockers Motion City Soundtrack have announced via their MySpace blog that they will enter the studio this coming week to begin work on their third album and follow-up to 2005's Commit This To Memory. The quintet will record both with former Cars leader Ric Ocasek (Weezer, the Pink Spiders), as well as the team of Adam Schlesinger of Fountains Of Wayne and Eli Janney of Girls Against Boys, in two separate sessions in New York City. The album should be out later this year on Epitaph.
