I don't get how the claim that apple doesn't use DRM keeps coming up. They code personal information about you into each MP3. Do the newer MP3s not require you to use their shitty software? And FYI if you have old Itunes songs, you have to pay to convert them to non DRM.
Is that my consumer benefit? I got to pay $.30 to have them remove their shitty DRM?

DRM is changing and becoming something entirely different. Steam is a good example. Online authentication servers are another example.
I dislike the whole encoding personal info. Who says someone couldn't hack into your system, steal all of your music and put it on the internet?
