Completed a major station update last night adding 75 songs. You'll here music by Black Flag, The Clash, Wire, Bad Religion, Avail, Anit-Flag, Aggression, Rise Against, Strike Anywhere, Dag Nasty, Scared of Chaka, Descendents, Social Distortion, Roughnecks, Pulley, Retrace, Agent Orange, Anti-heros, Fugazi, Minor Threat, Heckle, Operation Ivy, Rollins Band, The Hives and The Vandals. There are probably at least a few bands I missed but you'll have to listen to figure it out 😉

One other band that I want to single out is the Belligerents for whom Hymen abuses the drums. We are proud to have some of these drunken bastards tunes playing on the station and will be rotating in some more in the future. Have a PBR on us Hymen!

WOW! I hardly heard of any of these. Man I am out of touch with punk... wait is this a bad thing...... 😉

I know about 1/2 of them. I am suprised at how much punk music I actually have heard.

Great Job on the station Sarge. You passion for punk music rivals my own passion for hard rock/heavy metal. Keep it up and the listeners will see that as well. We should have done this sooner. ;-)

Did you ever think about doing an inet radio talk show? Shouldn't be too difficult to setup. Could talk about what interests you and others about gaming here. Callers could be taken on something like TS. I think that would be an interesting deal to startup.

Gets to a point where I just like listening to talk radio when saturated with music.

Actually Lexx, this whole site was started on the concept of doing a game related talk radio show. I just can't figure out how to work it into my schedule.

I actually have a complete studio setup, including two analog hybrids that would allow me to take the phone line and convert it to audio output.

I'm afraid as I get older, all I would do is bitch.... lol

I have some ideas on how to make this happen, but I'm not ready to launch it yet.

There's alot of potential for it without a doubt. Think of your favorite topics, and to have inet and cell/phone calls to voice opinions about things. There was a cool computer dweebing show in CA that would fit well, as well as political blogging in real time in spoken word, opinion rants such as our 2142 debates.

Even to roll out an initial 1-2 hours a nite. Once setup, would be soooo easy to add other dj's before and after dinner with oncore playings on the GR1 in mp3 format the next day. Add some visuals to it and release pod and webcam broadcasts.

The trick is to figure out how to get paid for it... advertising is the only way I know... unless you can beg some rich guy like Sorous to throw money into it 🙂

Also, this could be a sweet springboard for anyone wanting to break into the DJ business.

    Keep the faith man!

    No Use for a Name
    Incognito
    Fat Wreck Chords, October 2001

Might have been the stream but the song cut out at the end before it sounded like the song was over.. just a heads up.

    On the same note:

    Good Riddance
    My Republic
    Fat Wreck Chords, June 2006

Seems to be a lot quieter than the previous song..

    Wire
    Pink Flag
    Enigma, October 1977

Though it might be Wire that is the quiet one, half of the time the song that is said to be current has not started yet.. so.. there are both

    Fugazi
    In On The Kill Taker
    Dischord, June 1993

hrmm.. well maybe it is just my connection, it seems that both of the songs are quiet in comparison.

    BTW: great songs all around.

I have noticed that some songs are quieter than others. Before we put them up we "normalized" the volumes to the same level but that doesn't seem to have worked at all 😒

I'll try to switch them out for new recordings when I can

Sarge, keep in mind that you are normalizing a compressed track. I've found the cleaner the track to begin with, the better I can make it sound.

    Your doing a great job!
