Hector Berlioz..

Ok.. I relize with all the Rock.. Metal.. and Indie music this may not be among the right genre but still..

I'd strongly recommend listening to Hector Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique.. preferrably conducted by Georg Solti (Chicago Symphony or Berlin)

All 5 movements are excellent with a different flare to each..

Bernstein or the Philly Orchestra also do it well.. but Solti just has the right punch.. and that's the tough part when finding good classical because each conductor does it differently..

I think I understood about half of that....

However, I have no problem discussing any kind of music here. That's half the fun of music....

It's a symphony of destruction!

A symphony typically is made up of movements or acts.. Like Pink Floyd's Animals or Wish You Were Here.. (Considering Roger Waters has also composed a few symphonies himself.. ) Wish You Were Here has 5 Songs..each apart of the other flowing together to make really one large song.. but you can still break them down into smaller songs if played seperately..

That's the best I can explain it without being a Music Theory Major 😛
